Arkansas's limited X-ray rules
Arkansas issues a Limited Licensed Technologist license through the Department of Health's Radiologic Technology Licensure Program. The exam is ARRT's Limited Scope Examination for State Purposes, and the exam fee is paid directly to ARRT.
Everyone takes the Core. On the application (RC Form 701) you tick the procedure categories you want: Chest, Extremities, Skull/Sinus, Spine and Podiatry. Your license covers only the categories you pass.
Worth knowing
- License fee: $45 for one category, $65 for more than one.
- Modules you pass stay valid for 5 years if you aren't licensed yet.
- No abdomen, pelvis, ribs or fluoroscopy limited category. Bone densitometry sits under the full Radiologic Technologist license.
- Rules: 17 CAR Pt. 49.
